I’m going to be working for the Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta from the beginning of May until the end of August!
And thus commences the Great Canadian Adventure, in which a bored university student from a big city back east escapes to the Rocky Mountains, LOL.
holy shit I just had a phone interview for a job at the Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta. oh my god oh my god oh my god I have to wait until monday for them to call me back and I can’t take that much suspense. It sounds like such a cool job, a cool business to work for and a sick atmosphere and plus it’s IN JASPER NATIONAL PARK. I’ve had the same job since I was 15 and thus haven’t had much experience with job interviews SO I DON’T KNOW HOW I DID but I’m just hoping that my resume, emphasis on people skills and 7 years of experience working in parks and recreation might outweigh any stuttering or redundant answers I might have given over the phone.
This is a really ramblesome post because I have so much nervous adrenaline running through me right now, I can’t stop shaking. I NEED THIS JOB. I’m so nervous. sdjkgfsk
oh yeah in other news just an aside downtown is completely flooded and McTavish street has become a river of biblical proportions

Break out the cross-country skis and snowshoes and go on an urban adventure, of course!
Apply to work at one of the massive hotels at either Banff, Lake Louise or Jasper national parks
This needs to happen. I’m going to apply to every position at every hotel, I don’t care. I don’t want to waste another summer like I have been for the last few years!
